For the first time in tax history, all non-profits--including religious organizations--must comply with new IRS 403(b) regulations by December 31, 2009, or risk plan termination, possibly subjecting their employees’ retirement assets to tax, penalties, and interest. Is your ministry prepared? The Summit Center's new 403(b) compliance package will protect your ministry. To find out more information or order the package, click here.
Summit Testing Time
June 1, 2008
CBTS’s Summit Christian Leadership Center is pleased to announce that Sweetbriar Baptist Church, a full-scale classroom ministry simulation, is ready for presentation to seminarians. The week-long simulation module required a year to write and has since been tested on the faculty and a group of vocational pastors. The students will experience Sweetbriar beginning January 2008.
Summit Center Director Ron Clark anticipates an experience for the students which will be both challenging and enjoyable. “Sweetbriar Baptist will push the participants to call on all aspects of their education here at Calvary. Simulation training gives students a powerful sense of how education intersects with real life and ministry. We’re convinced this tool will help our students be better equipped for the challenges of local church leadership.”
